Past Members Remembered

Over the 26 years the Caledon Cruisers has been in existence we have had the good fortune of having had dedicated and committed members that have contributed without fail to our goals. These individuals have been more than just members and have become cherished friends to many. Our hearts go out to these dedicated & cherished friends who are no longer with us and here we would like to honour them for all they have done, they will not be forgotten.

Bruce Chevalier

Retired Elementary School Principal, Peel District School Board; Former member Rotary Club of Bolton; Paul Harris Fellow Award recipient; an avid member of the Caledon Cruisers Car Club.

John Gilroy

Former President of the Caledon Cruisers Car Club. John was from the local community and a long time member of the Caledon Cruiser and he will be sadly missed.

        

John Joseph McGuire

Surrounded by his loving family at his home in Caledon East on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the age of 68 John Joseph McGuire passed away. John was one of the original founding members of the Caledon Cruisers. We thank John for all his hard work establishing the Caledon Cruisers as a venue for car enthusiast to come together and share their love of life, their vehicles and give back to the community. Thank you, John, we will miss you and never forget the legacy you and the founding members have given us.

Joe’ Timothy Stewart Kennedy

Joe peacefully passed away with family by his side, at home on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Joe was in his 65th year and was the beloved husband of Beverly (nee Currie).  Joe was a dedicated member who would always come out to the Cruise Nights with his grandson Thomas who shared Joe’s passion. We will miss you Joe, thanks for all your support.

Fred Jones

Fred left us on October 12, 2017. Fred was an avid car affection ado whose passion along with his wife Rosemary was restoring old cars. From Corvettes to ’31 Fords to Mustangs. He was president of the Corvette Club of Ontario and the Canadian Council of Corvette Clubs. He was also a founding member of the Caledon Cruisers Car Club. We thank Fred for all he did in helping establish the Caledon Cruisers Car Club and hope that he’s driving around heaven in his 64 Corvette.

Robert (BOB) Moffatt

Peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 19, 2017, Robert Moffatt of Bolton passed in his 76th year, beloved husband of Barbara French. Loving father of Darlene and predeceased son Darren. Bob was a long time member of the Caledon Cruisers Car Club and honored the Club with an annual barbeque at his home. We thank Bob and his wife  Barbara for all they have done in supporting the club including the Best in Show Darren Moffatt award in honor of their son Darren given out yearly at the Bolton Fall Fair, we will continue this featured award but now as the Moffatt Family Best in Show award. Thanks again for all you have done for the club Bob.
